Pad printing comissions

Hello all and welcome to the commission page!

We have just acquired a 6 color pad printer that is currently being built in the Netherlands. This means once its in hand by November we will be taking commissions. Considering the printer is 6 colors we are now able to take large quantity and color intense commissions. 

How does this work?

We can print 6 colors in one single pass. Meaning you can get pad printed perfection quickly and perfectly. 6 colors per side per part. 

What's the minimum requirement?

The minimum price for a commission is $1200. Meaning the plate preparation and ink cost is $200 and then $1000 for your printed parts. here's an example of how the print cost is calculated. At $1000 your print cost is $1 per layer. Meaning a 6 layer head is $6 per head. 

Here's a design example with pricing in mind for a $1000 commission

The head is 3 layers meaning each head print is $3. The torso and hips are 6 Layers in total + $3 Each. The Legs have to be printed separately so they are 3 layers meaning they're $3 each. The total price for printing each figure is $12 per figure. Meaning if you plan on Meeting the $1000 threshold for prints it would yield 84 figures. 

If you did not meet this threshold then it would be $1.5 per layer. meaning each figure  would be $18 each. 

If you spend 5,000 on prints it would be $.75 per layer. 

any commission must meet the minimum print threshold of $500 of prints and that does not include the $200 plate and inks fee.

Commissions in the amount of $10,000 will have a cost of $0.60 per layer

Payment

Half of the commission cost is due to start the project and the other half is due once prints are finished. If payment is not submitted after printing has concluded then you have 7 days to submit payment or you forfeit ownership of the parts and we will sell the parts as a last resort to recoup our lost wages. Or you can be subject to small claims court. 

Copyright

We are not subject to copyright. If you are commissioning a print then we automatically assume you have the proper licensing for your designs. We are not liable.

NDA

If wanted we will keep any and all commissions completely private if requested. 

Turnaround Time

Each project can take as a little as a week and as long as 3-4 weeks depending on size and quantity. Please reach out for proper timelines.

Cancellations

Cancellations are allowed up until a project has been started. Once started it cannot be stopped. If you cancel once the commission its started within a timely manner (inside the agreed timeline for manufacturing)  We retain 25% of the commission costs.  This is only once the plates have been made and no printing has yet occurred. If prints have been started their is no canceling your commission.

Other stipulations and terms

  • we reserve the right to refuse service to anyone
  • we do not wipe parts
  • we can order parts on your end however this will be the part cost x 2 and it is not factored into the print cost.
  • we will not wipe parts under any circumstances. 
  • please send an extra 5% of parts in case of errors and for testing
  • we do not take injection molding commissions nor design commissions.
